When you receive hands on massage therapy from The Art of Fitness, you’re going to walk away feeling:

This is not a traditional full body massage. Full body massages are wonderful and highly beneficial. However, when it comes to treating pain or injury, they tend to only provide short term relief. We’re seeking long term permanent solutions.

Massage Therapy

The hands on massage therapy work I do always occurs within a context of an ongoing progressing movement assessment. This means that the work is targeted to address specific compensating muscles that are creating tightness, stiffness, pain, and movement dysfunction. It also shows me which muscles are weak, underworking, and need to be strengthened. Once a compensating muscle is found, I will perform a hands on massage release to temporarily inhibit the muscle and reduce tension. We will follow this massage release by activating the underworking muscles to bring balanced strength back into the system.

It is through the comprehensive holistic approach of using a movement assessment to determine the specific causes of pain and movement dysfunction, combined with a targeted hands on massage therapy release, followed by a Personalized Exercise Program that will help us tailor exactly what your body needs to move pain free.
